Sailing, Scuba Diving and Deep Sea Fishing in Mauritius
and a lot of fun at the beaches of Mauritus!

Coral-reefs: no biosphere on our earth is so rich in variety of life-forms and so colourful as the coral-reefs. These biggest constructions built by living beings grow between the two tropics. You can experience this miracle of nature in Mauritius; either as diver or with the snorkel mask, for you need to swim only a short distance.

For the preparation of your snorkel excursions we recommend the following books:
The Snorkeller`s Guide to the Coral Reef by Paddy Ryan * Beauty of the Coral Reefs by Frink & Harrigan *
The Underwater Explorer: secrets of a Blue Universe by Annemarie & Danja Kohler *
Wonders of the Reef: Diving With a Camera by Stephen Frink *
and for children at the age of 4-8 years: Life in the Coral Reef (Crabapples) by Kalman, Walker and Stack

Water sports: The hotels and specialized enterprises in Mauritius offer extensive activities on, in and under water: snorkel excursions, motorboat journeys, water-skiing, parasailing, sailing, deep-sea diving, deep-sea fishing, windsurfing, surfing, jet skiing, sub-water walk, kayak trips and much more.

Sailing: besides the big hotels, numerous enterprises organize cruises with crew and catering or rent out boats and yachts.

Excellent diving places with impressing corals are along the north west coast and in the bay of Flic-en Flac (wreck). The following fishes can be watched e.g. Parrotfish, Triggerfish, Anemonefishes, Emperor, Surgeonfish, Giant Moray Eel, Lionfish, Moorish Idol, Pennant Butterflyfish, Puffer fish and many more. For further information contact: Mauritian Scuba Diving Association - MSDA, Villas Caroline, Flic-en-Flac, Maurice.
